Things To Do This Bank Holiday Weekend

The end of April is here, and the three day weekend can commence (unless you have to work, I know the feeling). Bank holidays can either be amazing, or quite frankly boring, and that is normally down to the weather most of the time. However, bank holidays can be a time for where you can try new things, so I have created a list of 10 things that you could do over the bank holiday weekend.

1. Take a trip to a museum, or perhaps a castle.
2. Find a new and exciting recipe and have a go.
3. Have a go at yoga (youtube) by yourself or with friends or family.
4. Start a new book.
5. Find a DIY on pinterest and get creative.
6. Go and visit a garden centre and maybe have a tea and cake.
7. Go for a walk (beach, forest etc) somewhere new.
8. Go for a bike ride with friends or family.
9. Have a clear out!
10. Go to the cinema or watch a film at home.

My Perfume Collection

I remember getting my first perfume one christmas about 10 years ago, it was one of them doll harajuku perfumes which used to be all the range. Since then the collection of perfumes has grown. Now, my collection isn't huge by no means, but it is the perfect size for me, and I do wear them all. My perfume collection is made up of 9 perfumes, and a range of other body sprays which are mostly from Victoria's Secret, with The Body Shop, Jack Wills and Soap & Glory (not pictured) in there as well.

Before my 16th birthday,
the only perfumes that I owned were Justin Bieber fragrances and some others, that I really can't remember. However, when we went to Italy, which was just before my 16th, my parents brought me the Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gioia for Women perfume. To this day it is still one of my favourite scents, however, it is all gone but the bottle looks pretty with the rest of the them so I don't want to get rid of it. This is a perfume that I would re purchase in the future. Now, because I am so shit at describing scents heres what they say about the perfume:

'Top Notes: Crushed mint leaves, limone primo flore; Heart Notes: Jasmine, aquatic note; Base Notes: Cedarwood heart, brown sugar, labdanum.'

My favourite summer scent...
Is Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh, as it just reminds me of the summer and like the name of the perfume it is just fresh. Also, the bottle helps as it has flowers on the lid, which are just adorable. Again, like the Giorgio Armani perfume, this one was also purchased at Gatwick and then I wore this perfume for the entire holiday and most of summer 2014. I am actually surprised that there is a little bit left of this. Here is what they say about the perfume:

'Top Notes: ruby red grapefruit, raspberry, green leaves, pear; Heart Notes: violet, wild rose, apple blossom, lychee, jasmine petals; Base Notes: Musks, plum, cedar wood.'

Okay I thing there is a pattern here,
because the next one is also a fruity smelling perfume and also has cedar wood in it as well. This one I got for my 18th Birthday and it is Viktor and Rolf BONBON. This is more sickly than the other two, but I absolutely love this scent. It is sweet, but personally I quite like sweet perfumes, probably because I feel that they smell a lot more feminine than a lot of fragrances out there for women. I like wearing this perfume for more occasions than everyday, but even when I have worn it throughout the day I just love it. Here is what they say about the perfume:

'Top Notes: Mandarin, orange, peach; Heart Notes: Caramel, Jasmine, Orange Blossom; Base Notes: Cedarwood, Guaiac wood, sandalwood, amber.'

Now you may have already read about this one,
as a few months ago I wrote a post all about Chloe Love Story. Yes, I know there is a lot of hype surrounding this perfume, but I can understand why. I received this perfume at Christmas after originally smelling it back in June last year and automatically fell in love with it. Like the other three scents this is also very feminine, but not as sweet. This perfume is more florally, and I love the fact that I can still smell it throughout the day. If you want to read more about this perfume, click here!
Here is what they say about the perfume:

'Top Notes: Orange blossom; Heart Notes: Stephanotis Jasmine; Base Notes: Cedar wood'

Next Up,
We have my what I like to call 'my everyday perfumes', which all happen to come from the Justin Bieber range, and one from The Body Shop. Now the story behind the Justin Bieber perfumes is that since Somebody was released I have been brought one of his scents for every Christmas and Birthday since. Hence why I have a bit of a collection. At the moment I have been using The Key, which is another fruity scent (I'm sure you are probably bored of hearing that by now, soz) and I also have the Collectors Edition, which I am not so keen on, and apparently an empty or nearly empty bottle of Someday. If you do want to pick up some of Justin Bieber's perfumes then Savers normally has the gift set of many of the perfumes for about £10 - £15.

Victoria's Secret...
Okay so if you knew me back in High School, well like over the last two and a half years, then you would know that I had a fair collection of the VS sprays. I always had one in my bag and I just used to spray it, a lot of the time. People would commit, then other people got on the bandwagon and started buying the sprays as well. However, I am pleased to stay that I haven't had a new VS Spray since my birthday, back in July. I know have a collection of four. My collection used to be like 12! I tend to keep one at university, one in my bag for work, one in my everyday bag and one at home. This way I can actually get through them and they aren't just dust collectors.

And that is it for my perfume collection. For me personally I like to spend a bit more on perfume, I know not everyone does, but I really enjoy perfume and I enjoy smelling nice.

Spring Lips

You know its spring time in England, well should be spring soon, when one minute you have April Showers and the next day it is a bright, sunny and relatively warm outsides. Today, it just so happens to be pouring it down. Well it is England, and you know what this weather can be like. However, because it is supposed to be spring, I thought I would give a round up of my go to spring lipsticks this year.

Charlotte Tilbury,
For me, is currently one of my favourite brands out there at the moment. I adore the make up range and the packaging is to die for. The Matte Revolution in 'Amazing Grace', is the perfect pink for spring. It is quite a bright pink, but is more of a happy pink rather than a bright bright pink. The website describes this colour as 'vintage tea rose'. Last year I did a post about this lipstick, which you can check out here!

Native was a lipstick,
that when I first brought it I was not a fan. I didn't like the smell of it or anything much. However, a few weeks ago I decided to give it another shot, and to my surprise I actually really liked it again. I like the fact that it is quite sheer, it isn't drying and does actually last. Native is from the Revolution lipsticks line by Urban Decay, and all the lipsticks from this range contain avocado oil, cocoa butter and jojoba oil, which leads to a hydrating lipstick. The pale pink lipstick is quite pigmented, so if you are not a fan of pale pink, then this may not be for you. Native Review here!

Next up is a new one to my collection,
which is NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Milan. Now you do need to touch this up throughout the day,  (well that is what I found, especially after eating) but honestly I love the colour pigmentation and how it looks on my lip. It is more of a darker pink compared to native, but this is a lip colour that would be perfect for the day or even as a evening look. I think I will be adding some more of these to my collection soon.

And finally...
We have one of my all time favourite lipsticks, which is Brave by MAC. I love wearing this colour all through the year, but especially in the spring. It is the perfect nude/pink, that is just a really good go to everyday colour. Personally, this one is one of my favourite nudes, probably because of the hint of pink. One of the best things that I like about this lipstick is that because it is a satin, it is not completely matte, because if it was it would just dry my lips out completely.

NEW IN | Jewellery Box

The Jewellery Box is a brand that I have seen floating around on Instagram and a few blogs, and they have some lovely pieces that are really worth checking out. Now I am someone that usually to wears that same three pieces of jewellery everyday and before that I used to always forget to wear jewellery.

After checking out the Jewellery Box, the company let me pick a few pieces of jewellery and as I am loving rings at the moment they kindly sent me out three gorgeous rose gold rings. As much as I love wearing Pandora silver rings, I adore rose gold jewellery and it can really make an outfit.

The Rings...

My favourite ring is the 18t Rose Gold Dipped Sterling Silver Plain ring, as although it is actually a toe ring, it looks really pretty as a midi ring. The other great thing about this ring and the Arrow Design ring, is that they are both adjustable, so if you are buying a gift for someone and don't know their exact size then this would be a good option. If you are looking for stacking rings, then this one will be perfect. Unlike the other two this one is not adjustable, but I actually thing this is a bit more cuter especially if you are going to go for quite a few rings together.

Not only do they do rings, but they also have a collection of necklaces, bracelets, anklets and some lovely jewellery storage. The website is worth a look around, whether you are looking for a cute gift for someone or just looking for your self.

Everyday Accessories

There are three things that I really can't not leave the house without, and no that does not always include my phone or purse, although it always has to include keys. Here I'm talking about three pieces of jewellery that make me feel together and ready for what the day ahead has planned for me.

All about the rings...
If I had been writing this post a year ago, I would have laughed if you had told me that I would love wearing rings and would have felt lost without my Pandora ring. Now I only tend to wear one ring at the time and I usually pick up this ring and I always have to wear it on my middle finger (probably because that is the finger that it fits best on, and it has to be on a certain hand or it just doesn't feel right).
(Note to self: Remember to paint nails next time)

For checking the time,
My Daniel Wellington watch is perfect for almost every outfit and occasion. With its brown leather strap and rose gold hardware, there is something about the watch that looks classic and stylish. I'm not one for metal straps, although the Michael Kors watches do look delightful and maybe on my wish list, I just prefer the leather strap look. The look is feminine and whether its a 9am lecture, a shift at work or a meal out, it just works and looks effortless.

The finishing piece comes in a little blue box...
There is something very timeless and classic when it comes to a Tiffany necklace, which I was very lucky to receive for my 18th Birthday back in July, and something that I have been wearing basically everyday since. In fact, the beautiful heart shaped Tiffany necklace has been the only necklace I have worn ever since. Similar, to the Daniel Wellington watch, it goes with everything, whether that is a causal tee or an expensive dress, the fact that it is Tiffany just puts the whole look together. If you have been wishing for a little blue box then it is worth it.

March Favourites

So we are already three months into the year and I am yet to do a monthly favourites post, considering last year I did a monthly favourites nearly every month. This month I have been loving quite a few things that are not all beauty related, because like I mentioned in my 'March in Instagram Photos' post on Monday, March has been kinda busy.

Youtube
Since around the middle of February I have really trued to up my fitness game, and as someone who doesn't go to the gym, youtube videos are something that I have been really loving. The first channel that I have to mention is Lucy Wyndham-Read, who has some really great 5 to 10 minute HIIT workouts. My favourites are 'HIIT that muffin top', 'HIIT workout (5 minutes) that you can do anywhere' and 'HIIT 2016 workout'. The thing that I love about these workouts are that you can basically do them anywhere, they are quick and you want to repeat them a few times. I also love the calorie crushing workout, especially after a warm up straight thing in the morning, as it gets your heart rate up and I actually feel good after doing it.
Continuing on the theme of fitness videos is the channel Blogilates, which many of you might have heard of. I personally prefer this channel for toning, because although the videos are challenging they are so much fun and the video encourages you to continue even when it hurts and you just want to stop. My favourites are 'Happy Hard Core Abs', '3 minute lower abs', all the 'turbo' series workouts and '5 minute lean legs'. Yes, they will kill you but I have seen a difference and I do enjoy doing them.
In terms of beauty and fashion, Fashion Mumblr and Hannah Gale are two youtubers that I have loved watching this month. Both of them do deserve a lot more viewers and subscribers that they actually have.

Beauty:

This year I haven't really brought anything new, I have repurchased a few things but I am  really trying to save this year. However, one palette that I only brought just over a week ago has already become a favourite, and that is the Zoeva En Taupe palette. First off I love the colours in the palette and there are some really lovely colours in there that will be great in the spring and the summer. I have just been using it to create everyday looks so far and haven't really played with it that much but so far it has been a palette that I have been reaching for. Continuing with the theme of eyes, I have also been loving the Fleur De Force eyelash range. Now I am someone who doesn't really wear fake eyelashes unless I am going out out, and even then I don't like wearing eyelashes that are over the top. I really like the Fleur De Force range because they don't look like you are actually wearing fake eyelashes, but at the same time just make your eyelashes stand out.

I probably haven't faked tanned in amount two or so years, but I had a wedding to go to and my legs were really white so I though I would give the Bondi Sands Gradual Tanning Milk ago, after reading quite a few reviews and noticing that it was on offer in Superdrug (which is always a bonus). I am so impressed with this product. It gives me a natural glow, but you do need to exfoliate first as it just helps the tan from striking etc.

Other:
This months song favourite has to be 'Cake by the Ocean' by DNCE, it is just so catchy and I can literally listen to this song on repeat all day. Also, throughout March I have loved 'The Night Manager' which was on BBC and oh my it was so amazing, like if you haven't watched the series go on player or Sky catch up and watch it. There is only about 6 episodes but I could easily just watch all episodes one after another and plus Tom Hiddleston is just babe.
